Assistant accountant Job description As an Assistant accountant, you are required to prepare financial reports to assess the business's financial performance. You are responsible for assisting the company to implement efficient and diligent financial practices. Further, you will be actively involved in the day-to-day functioning of the company accounts, with the responsibility of making observations of the financial state of the organization and required to lead and manage a team of subordinates in efficiently handling functions related to accounts preparation.

Assistant accountant responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly financial accounts and overseeing and approving all general ledger transactions including the IRD system/ portal.

• Liaison with external stakeholders (Financial institutions, Audit team).

• Prepare and submit all the tax return on timely manner including VAT, IT, SSCL etc.

• Ensure Accuracy of all financial documents released and advise management on implications of financial treatment methods.

Required qualifications and experience

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA (Final level).

• Minimum 05 year experience in similar capacity including audit experience.

• Clear and Precise understanding of financial standards and practices.

• Ability to work independently and meet financial deadlines. Skills & Traits • Age below 40 years.
