Our client is a global fintech company that specializes in digital payment solutions. It offers a range of services and technologies to facilitate secure and convenient online transactions, including mobile payments, digital wallets, and payment processing platforms.

About The Role

The purpose of our Senior Java Developer role is to create and maintain the technology system and features for the business verticals in line with stakeholder needs. You will be responsible for translating and implementing technical requirements into usable technology products focused on scale, robust product performance, APIs, and ease of use.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Technical and virtual leadership of external coworkers and outsourced resources.
• Collaboration with Product Owners during the creation and prioritization of technical user stories.
• Supervision of coordination with our customers in all phases of the project.
• Active involvement in the continuous improvement of our processes, methods, and tools.
• Close co-operation with our quality engineers.

The Ideal candidate must have:

• Knowledge of payment technologies and protocols, including PCI DSS compliance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, other relevant security regulations and implementing security best practices
• Participate in security assessments, penetration testing and documentation.
• Previous experience in the payment industry, particularly with card acceptance solutions, (Bank, Acquirer, PayFac, Payment Gateway)
• Strong knowledge of Java, multithreading, design patterns as well as database technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Demonstrable experience in the development of highly scalable infrastructure components with extensive data processing.
• Experience working with Spring, Spring Boot, Cloud, Kafka, and REST-Apis.
• Experience with search platforms like Apache Solr/Elasticsearchis desirable.
• Experience in AWS serverless technology such as Lambda, Aurora, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Kinesis.
• Excellent understanding of agile principles and processes.
• Strong drive for results and focus on excellent service delivery; ability to work effectively as part of a small, highly creative team
• Very good command of English language skills both written and verbally.
