Job Title: Social Media Specialist

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and traffic across various social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

  • Create, curate, and publish engaging content (e.g., posts, videos, images, polls) that aligns with our brand identity, values, and target audience preferences.

  • Monitor social media channels for trending topics, conversations, and opportunities to join relevant discussions and participate in community engagement.

  • Manage and grow our social media communities by fostering meaningful interactions, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

  • Plan and execute social media advertising campaigns, including audience targeting, ad creation, budget management, and performance tracking, to drive website traffic, lead generation, and conversions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and content creation to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Analyze social media metrics and KPIs (e.g., reach, engagement, conversions) using social media analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Instagram Insights) to track performance, identify trends, and optimize strategies for maximum impact.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and algorithm changes in social media marketing, and proactively propose new ideas and strategies to keep our brand ahead of the curve.

  • Monitor and report on competitor activities and industry trends in social media, and leverage insights to inform our own social media strategies and tactics.

  • Maintain a social media content calendar, scheduling tools, and workflow processes to ensure consistent and timely posting across all platforms.

  • Engage with influencers and brand advocates to amplify our brand reach and cultivate partnerships for co-promotion and collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • Proven experience working as a Social Media Specialist, Social Media Manager, or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful social media campaigns and content creation.

  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their respective audiences, best practices, and advertising options.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content tailored to different social media platforms and audiences.

  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Google Analytics) to schedule posts, analyze data, and measure performance.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to ideate and execute innovative social media campaigns and strategies.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Passion for social media, digital marketing, and staying updated on emerging trends, technologies, and platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with graphic design and video editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Canva.

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and strategies to optimize social media content for search visibility and discoverability.

  • Experience with social media listening and monitoring tools to track brand sentiment, mentions, and trends.

  • Familiarity with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads) and experience managing paid social campaigns.

  • Understanding of analytics and data analysis techniques to derive actionable insights and inform decision-making.

  • Experience managing social media for brands in specific industry/niche.

  • Active and engaged presence on personal social media accounts with demonstrated understanding of social media trends and culture.
