Digital Talent Mena is hiring for one of the leading clients in Egypt, in the telecom industry a Modernization and Application Architect.

Job Description:

•Develop and maintain the PaaS platform roadmap and feature backlog. •Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for cloud technologies and tools.

•Performing the needed POCs to build Etisalat’s cloud framework targeting enhancing productivity

•Work closely with other teams to identify applications that can be redesigned to be cloud-native.

•Collaborate with the DevOps team to create deployment and automation strategies for cloud-native applications.

•Identify and manage risks associated with the modernization processes.

•Support in developing and maintaining the PaaS platform.

•Create and maintain development standards and stacks

•Conduct regular training and knowledgesharing sessions for other teams on cloud-native development and deployment best practices.

•Work with the team to Identify and manage risks associated with the modernization processes.

•Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.

•Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.

•Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.

•Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team.

•Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design.

•Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers. •Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.

•Approve final cloud product before launch.

Qualifications:

•Proficiency in popular programming languages like Java, Node.js, PHP, Python, and Ruby on Rails.

•Understanding of how databases, networks, and other critical IT functions work.

•Knowledge of cloud security principles to protect cloud data from unauthorized users and malicious hackers.

•Ability to integrate and automate an organization’s IT system processes.

•Strong knowledge of enterprise computing and operating systems (OS) and cloud computing platforms, such as Linux, Windows, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS)

•Experience working with legacy information systems.

•Excellent knowledge in SCM systems like git, Github and Gitlab.

•Excellent knowledge in CI-CD pipelines.

•Excellent knowledge in docker, podman & k8s (OpenShift & EKS knowledge preferred).

•Good knowledge in Nexus, Jira, Monitoring, Logging, Service mesh, GitOps & SonarQube

Certifications:

•Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

•Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
