Digital Talent is hiring a Legal Manager for one of our clients in Egypt ! This role involves overseeing and managing various legal aspects within the organization, providing expert legal advice and guidance, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of trade and manufacturing-related matters to the company's management, departments, and employees. Stay updated on industry-specific laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Contract Management: Review, draft, negotiate, and manage various contracts related to trade and manufacturing operations, including supply agreements, distribution agreements, manufacturing agreements, and licensing agreements. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and protect the company's interests in contractual relationships.
- Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing trade and manufacturing activities. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures, conduct internal audits, and provide training to employees on compliance matters specific to the industry.
HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
- Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks associated with trade and manufacturing operations. Develop strategies and procedures to mitigate risks, including legal due diligence, contract risk assessment, and implementation of risk mitigation measures.
- Intellectual Property: Protect the company's intellectual property rights related to trade and manufacturing activities. Oversee trademark registrations, copyright protections, and patent applications. Handle IP infringement issues and collaborate with external counsel, as necessary.
- Regulatory Affairs: Stay informed about trade regulations, customs laws, import/export controls, and other relevant regulations affecting the trade and manufacturing industry. Liaise with regulatory authorities, obtain necessary licenses and permits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Dispute Resolution: Manage legal disputes and litigation related to trade and manufacturing operations. Collaborate with external legal counsel, oversee legal proceedings, and represent the company's interests in negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
- Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and company policies. Provide guidance on legal and regulatory implications of business decisions, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research on trade and manufacturing-related matters, including industry-specific regulations, international trade laws, product liability, and consumer protection laws. Stay updated on legal developments and advise management on their implications.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance, training, and support. Allocate work assignments, monitor progress, and ensure the team's effectiveness in supporting trade and manufacturing legal matters.
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor degree in Law.
- 10-12 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on trade and manufacturing-related matters within the industry.
- In-depth knowledge of trade law, customs regulations, import/export controls,manufacturing agreements, supply chain management, and related legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property rights protection, including trademark, copyright, and patent laws.
- Experience in managing legal disputes and litigation related to trade and manufacturing operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
