KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure a high level of performance and professional development.
- Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs through strategic sourcing, volume discounts, and negotiations.
- Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to make informed procurement decisions.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high standards in procured products and services.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and key performance indicators to senior management.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions and supplier reliability issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduation from any reputed institution in business, supply chain, or a related field.
- A minimum experience of 4/5 years in procurement.
- Relevant experience in FMCG related to the agriculture sector is a plus.
- Knowledge of the market and understanding of local business dynamics.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
- Excellent understanding of procurement strategies, sourcing methods, and principles, with a focus on delivering cost-effective solutions.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
