KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement strategic purchase plans to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
- Stay abreast of market trends, pricing, and supply availability to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and products.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations & finance, to align purchase strategies.
- Monitor and control costs, seeking opportunities for cost savings.
- Reconciliations of supplier payments with coordination with the finance department.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory management to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
- Update and maintain records of all purchases, payment, and received stock.
- Work with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
- Comparing product deliveries with issued purchase orders to ensure there are no discrepancies
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that procured goods meet the required standards.
- Provide guidance to the purchase team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Undertake any cross-functional tasks assigned by the management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduation from any reputed institution in a related field.
- Experience of 4/5 years in purchase, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Relevant experience in FMCG related to the agriculture sector is a plus.
- Ability to assess product quality and understanding of local business dynamics.
