KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategic purchase plans to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, pricing, and supply availability to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential new suppliers and products.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations & finance, to align purchase strategies.
  • Monitor and control costs, seeking opportunities for cost savings.
  • Reconciliations of supplier payments with coordination with the finance department.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Update and maintain records of all purchases, payment, and received stock.
  • Work with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
  • Comparing product deliveries with issued purchase orders to ensure there are no discrepancies
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that procured goods meet the required standards.
  • Provide guidance to the purchase team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Undertake any cross-functional tasks assigned by the management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduation from any reputed institution in a related field.
  • Experience of 4/5 years in purchase, sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Relevant experience in FMCG related to the agriculture sector is a plus.
  • Ability to assess product quality and understanding of local business dynamics.
