Engineering Leads (Linux Administration)

A leading Multinational Software Services company with 15,000 global resources is looking for well-rounded Engineering Leads with 5+ years of Industry experience in Linux Administration preferably in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in computer science/related field and should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Experience

· Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7uptime service

· Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs

· Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments

· Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions

· Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning

· Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware

· Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks

· Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment

Responsibilities

· Linux/UNIX Systems administration

· SysOPS (AWS)

· Virtualization (VMWare, RHEV, Ovirt, Oracle Virtualization)

· Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, OKD)

· CI/CD Infra support (Git, SVN, Jenkins, Confluence/JIRA, Helm)

· Infra Automation (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform) is good to have

· Database installation and basic trouble shooting (Oracle DB, Oracle RAC, MySQL)
