We are looking for a senior Compliance individual, ideally previously approved, with experience in start-up firms, ideally in crypto and experience obtaining EMI licence would be strongly desirable.

The role would be parttime in the beginning, but with the possibility to grow in a fulltime role if we are a fit.

This role is fully remote and it will stay. There might be need for rare travel to the office when requested by the regulator.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintaining and improving companies compliance framework and transaction monitoring methodology

· Managing and improving the current AML program

· Maintaining and improving our client on boarding procedures

· Providing AML and compliance guidance to other professionals within the business

· Supervising and supporting other business functions to ensure that they are in accordance with GFSC regulations

· Detecting suspicious activities and conducting appropriate SAR e-filing

· Performing company risk assessments and client risk assessments

· Monthly reporting of AML risks to the board and Management

· Performing the tasks of periodical FCA returns and reporting

· Responding to inquiries from regulators and other government agencies

· Arranging Compliance and AML training for employees

· Assisting Company’s legal works including checking legal and commercial agreement of service providers

· Other relevant ad-hoc tasks as required from time to time

Ideally you shall meet the following requirement

· Previously approved by the FCA or similar as a Compliance Officer/MLRO will be an advantage

· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

· Good knowledge of UK and EU compliance laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions

· Strong transaction monitoring skills and experience

· Experience and ability to work independently without assistance of subordinates

· Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

· Positive and flexible attitude to taking on new challenges

· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, highly organized

· Excellent English writing and communication skills
