Designation: Full Stack Developer Shopify

Location: Colombo

Key Requirements

• Developing custom Shopify apps/plugins and themes
• Creatively solve development problems and translate technical requirements and mockups into site features/improvements.
• Developing eCommerce sites on Shopify platform
• Developing custom Shopify themes
• Extending Shopify’s functionalities to next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc
• Integrating third-party and platform supported apps in the sites
• Setting up payment integration, shipping methods and taxes in Shopify platform
• Page speed optimization of Shopify sites
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites
• Working with GIT
• Producing high quality of work with a strong focus on detail

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in Shopify application development required
• Expert in Shopify APIs and its usage
• REST API knowledge
• Proven experience with experience, visual and interaction design, architecting, and optimizing of websites and/or applications
• Solid knowledge of Liquid, Shopify Plus, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience in Node.js and React.js
• Experience in PHP would be an added advantage
• Proven knowledge with Admin API and Storefront API
• Background in Product modeling and configuration via Shopify Admin
• Understanding of Product, Discount, Order APIs and customizations using the APIs
• Awareness of the Marketing Events, Discounts, Gift Cards and their configurations in Shopify
• Experience with Shopify instance management and configuration
• Knowledge in data migration and synchronization between Shopify instances
• Passionate about building world-class digital experiences that balance action with attention to detail
• Experienced in Agile development methodologies, mobile – first design and functionality with a focus on writing clean, well-documented and scalable designs.
• Ability to take direction from leadership and team mates while also providing valuable perspective on enhancing processes and experiences.
