As an Import Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of import trade activities. This includes purchase order creation and logistical coordination associated with our companies import activities in Sri Lanka.
Responsibilities
- Handle Purchase Orders - confirm price and availability, develop quotes and communicate lead time to relevant stakeholders
- Liaise with vendors to ensure on time shipping and delivery; coordinate with forwarder, customs broker and other logistics service providers
- Managing the supply plan to meet product demand and inventory targets across multiple product lines and multiple suppliers
- Communicating with supplier regarding quality defects to obtain credit for goods and freight
Requirements
- Background in international trade or logistics and familiarity with import process in Sri Lanka
- Experience in freight forwarding and customs brokering is preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English
- Exposure to inventory management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
