General Roles and Responsibility

· Recruits, hires and trains new warehouse employees. Coaches, counsels, schedules, and disciplines current warehouse employees as needed by enforcing policies and procedures.

· Contributes to creating and recommending strategic plans and reviews in order to achieve operational objectives.Prepares and implements production and quality plans based on customer service standards. Resolves problems and identifies trends.

· Forecasts requirements prepare annual budgets, schedules expenditures, analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions in order to meet the financial objectives of the warehouse.

· Determines product handling and storage requirements to develop warehouse operations systems. Develops, implements evaluates and enforces policies and procedures. Develops processes for receiving products, utilizing equipment, managing inventory, and shipping products.

· Develops and implements effective warehouse layout that accounts for product flow, equipment, and product handling systems.

· Establishes, follows and enforces safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements.

· Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and team through the operational team leaders.

· Manage the returns to the Warehouse and ensure items are dealt with promptly and returned to stock/supplier.

· Maintain regular communication with E-shop customer care and retail customer service to update them on any outstanding customer care issues.

· Liaison with stores/stock controllers to ensure that stock movements and stock-keeping standards are maintained in line with company guidelines.

People Management - Manages effective communication with the officers directly working with him for seamless operations.

· To develop second-line successors and drive performance through the team to take up higher challenges.

· Managing costs and performance of the warehouse

· Lead and engage a team to drive excellent customer service

· Effective management of performance, conduct, absence, engagement, and training and development of team members, holding people accountable to agreed departmental and company standards.

· Monitor KPIs, identify and communicate associated actions, and highlight areas for improvement

· Basis managerial responsibility such as Return to work, appraisals, absence management

· Joint responsibility for continuous improvement within the warehouse.

Specific Requirements:

BSc/HND in Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, and other relevant courses.

· Supply Chain Experience

· Proven experience as Head of Operations, Operations Director or similar leadership role

· Well exposed to B2B Sales and must have exposure to leading a team of 50-100 people.

· 5 years’ experience in Inventory Management or in a similar role.

· Previous warehouse operations experience preferred

· Highly developed and finely tuned experience in setting strategic direction

· Experienced in producing and developing strategic business plans

· Experienced in working within a target driven environment and managing a senior team.
