A leading Organization in Sri Lanka is looking for a dynamic Individual to join as a Database Administrator - MS SQL

Designation - Database Administrator - MS SQL

Location -- Colombo

Key Requirements

● 5+ years of experience in a production DBA role

● Good knowledge in database performance monitoring and tuning

● Exposure to industry standard MS SQL database solutions

● Knowledge in DB monitoring automations

● Lead the technical development and implementation of the solution

● Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements using Microsoft and third-party tools

● Knowledge in full lifecycle for development and deployment of T-SQL and SSIS/SSRS solutions

● Extensive experience with relational databases

● Exposure to database migration from MS SQL to other platforms

● Knowledge in data population techniques, data modeling & performance tuning

Nice to have

● Experience in cloud platforms (AWS) will be an advantage

● Exposure to MySQL and PostgreSQL (Amazon RDS) and experience in MongoDB

● Experience in database migration from MS SQL to PostgreSQL, troubleshooting and fixing the issues during migration

● Work experience in hospitality domain will be an advantage

● Degree in computing with required industry certifications

● Have strong collaboration, communication and influencing skills

● Good problem solving skills and good communication skills
