Trainee / Assistant Merchandiser Job description

We are looking for an innovative candidate who can contribute to the Merchandising department to help smoothly through general routine procedures.

Job responsibilities

• The candidate must have a working knowledge of production and sampling in fabric materials.
• Coordinate and follow with designs, sampling, production, vendors, etc.
• Should know various types of embroideries, value additions, printing, job work, etc.
• Always preparing the plans and production schedules for the manufacturing department.
• To follow up in all stages of production in the factory from sample making to shipment.
• To keep close contact with the central store to know the actual In-house status of all relevant production materials, and accessories and inform the same to factory Management well ahead.
• Exploring production specifications and maintaining the factory capacity data.
• Preparing a plan and schedules workflow for each department.
• Internal & external communication
• Taking responsibility for inspections of Fabric

Required qualifications and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Merchandising / Textiles or similar will be preferred.
• Minimum 1 -2 years of experience in fabric merchandising or similar industry.
• Extensive knowledge of fabrics.
• Eager to learn, smart and decisive
• Good written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Enthusiastic with a positive attitude and personality.
• Team player and well-versed with Microsoft Office
