Overview

You will update MSCI business applications implemented using the Google Web Toolkit, this will require the migration from GWT 1.7 to GWT 2.9.0 and from Sencha GXT 2.0.1 to 4.1.0 as well as the refactoring of custom components defined by MSCI. You will afterwards perform the migration to Azure Cloud of those GWT applications.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade the Data management GWT/GXT frontend applications to Java 11 
• Port them to Azure Cloud
• Take part inf applications testing

Desired Experience and Skills

• Rock-solid core Java skills 
• At least 2 years of experience both with Google Web Toolkit and Sencha GXT
• Good knowledge of Spring JDBC + Spring beans
• Relational database experience preferably on Oracle, PL/SQL knowledge will be an advantage
• Pragmatic, keep it simple mentality 
• Exellent time-management skills, ability to setup and follow through on a schedule, and work in a self-contained way
• No fuss attitude towards legacy application code
