The Role

QA Lead should be a quality assurance specialist who works with the team to ensure the product is meeting the needed quality standards by continuously monitoring the overall QA objectives and deliverables. QA Lead should manage the QA team and is responsible for overall QA processes, methodologies, and test strategy improvements including resource planning, hiring, and performance review of the QA team.

Responsibilities

• Leading the QA team and managing both internal and external personnel
• An excellent level of knowledge in test case and defect management
• Hands on experience in both UI automation and API automation
• Ability to initiate, plan and drive activities related to usability and performance testing
• In-depth knowledge of RDBMS and hands-on knowledge of SQL Databases.
• Experience in testing pipeline management via CI/CD
• Shown proficiency in working with testing techniques and estimations
• Experience in prioritizing, planning, coordinating testing activities and managing test reports.
• Willingness to adapt approaches and solutions to unique problems in demanding, time-sensitive situations
• Taking responsibility for quality both during and after product launch
• Anticipating risks and developing contingency plans to mitigate effects
• Stay up to date with new testing tools, strategies and procedures
• Responsible for people development that is necessary to perform the functions of the software quality assurance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
• 5+ years industry experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software quality assurance activities through enterprise application testing life cycle.
• Sound knowledge in Software QA concepts, testing methodologies, and best practices, especially in Agile Software Development environments.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the product, both from a business perspective as well as a technical perspective and inspiring the team by serving as a subject matter expert on responsible areas.
• Experience in test automation with Selenium Web Driver.
• Good knowledge of API testing using SoapUI and Postman.
• Experience with web testing technologies.
• Excellent communication and management skills with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary QA teams to ensure high quality solution delivery.
• Effective decision making, and maintaining excellent relationships with diverse personalities, within the team and with clients.
