We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our Sri Lanka based development team as Site Reliability Engineer.  In this role you will take an active role in maintaining our Cloud platform (Azure) health and high performance. This role will focus on an Operational aspect of our Cloud platform, regular health checks and requires troubleshooting skills, with a detailed-oriented approach when performing Cloud Operations tasks. You will have the opportunity to work on complex problems and apply your expertise and experience to improve reliability of our Cloud Platform.

• Operate, Administer and Automate solutions on the Cloud Stack.
• Take personal ownership of the systems you manage and operate and be responsible for problem discovery, analysis and resolution.
• Leverage and grow your diagnostic, technical and communication skills.
• Find out opportunities to bring reliability in the product and infrastructure.
• Partner with service delivery to define what it means for the system to be 'available' and dictate the availability SLO (internal metrics) of the system.
• Measure and optimise system performance, with an eye toward pushing BlackStream's capabilities forward
• Create and instil engineering standards, patterns, guardrails & practices within BlackStream's digital production landscape, ensuring adherence.
• Collaborate with peers in other technical domains, driving the use of resilient architectural components across the technology function.
• Establishing SRE's four golden signals: latency, traffic, error rate and saturation to improve service.

About you

• Experience implementing DevOps practice to drive improved MTTR, reduced lead time, increase change frequency and decreased change failure rate.
• Up-to-date knowledge of DevOps, build and run, Azure and CI/CD solutions.
• Solid powershell, terraform and bicep experience
• Experience with object-oriented programming and/or scripting. We use .NET
• Basic network troubleshooting skills (TCP/IP, routing, networking topologies etc.)
• Experience working in Cloud based infrastructure – DB, Application, OS, and Network
• Have become knowledgeable of configuration automation tools (Terraform)
