TECHNICAL LEAD / SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - PHP

Our Company is a full-service digitally led Software agency that offers a complete suite of cloud services and enterprise solutions to New Zealand and Australia.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Technical Lead /Senior Software Engineer - PHP.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
• Writing “clean” code per company coding standards, in a timely and scalable manner
• Working in small cross-functional teams to build, ship, and maintain the company’s products
• Code reviews, automated testing, CI
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and applications
• Serve as a technical expert on development projects and drive the full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design
• Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation
• Drive software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements
• Consult with end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs
• Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability is maintained

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Competent (5 + years) experience in a similar capacity
• Experience with PHP Frameworks: Laravel, Symfony and CodeIgniter Experience with application layer technologies and API Integrations (XML, JSON, and REST)
• Competent with OOP, MySQL, and relational database concepts.
• Experience with CICD·
• Able to perform code reviews to ensure the code meets the acceptance criteria.
• Full-stack experience. Frontend using JavaScript and CSS along with frameworks (Angular JS, jQuery, NodeJS, Vue.JS)
• Ability to oversee and drive projects teams forward toward achieving organizational goals.
• Hands-on experience on Vue.JS and React would be a definite advantage
• Proven Leadership skills with the ability to communicate and delegate tasks among team members effectively
