We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer to build and manage our technology infrastructure.

We're looking for someone who loves to take ownership of the code and is excited about building applications and features end-to-end.

You will be setting the foundations for our technology infrastructure and building a team of software engineers.

Product

Our first product is a web app for homeowners. It’s currently live and in private beta. The engineering team is outsourced. Your role will be to manage the team, set the strategy, write code and gradually transition the team to be an in-house but fully distributed team.

This role is a mix of management and full-stack engineering.

Our tech stack is on React, Node, Mysql, and AWS

Who you are:

• You should be highly motivated and an inquisitive senior engineer, with in-depth knowledge of the web ecosystem – from mobile and desktop to the cloud.
• You should have the desire to wear multiple hats and thrive in a startup environment.
• You have at least 5 years of experience being a full-stack engineer building production apps with high usage.
• You have prior experience managing engineering teams.
• You have deep expertise in building and shipping consumer and enterprise products.
• You're also the kind of person that isn't afraid to get their hands dirty with the day-to-day management of technical projects and members of the dev team.
• You’re a fantastic communicator, able to comfortably switch between managing stakeholder expectations and motivating fellow engineers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design and lead the implementation of cloud solutions.
• Monitor our Infrastructure and respond to abnormal events.
• Build and maintain APIs for mobile and web applications.
• Lead code design and code reviews.
• Lead in product cycle planning.
• Manage and grow the engineering team.
• Ensure cyber security best practices.

What’s required:

• Experience in backend development on NodeJs
• Experience in ReactJs and NextJs.
• Demonstrated production experience building software on the cloud using AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, RDS, etc.)
• Experience building and managing development teams that design and deliver highly reliable & scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with Serverless technologies.
• Experience with Search Services.
• Experience with QA processes.
• Strong grasp of DevOps processes.
