DEPUTY CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
Job Objectives
· To provides technical competence at professional level for developing and implementing information technology initiatives
· To support the Chief Information Officer to implement enterprise IT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development in a collaborative, customer-focused leadership style that works effectively across departments and functions to increase efficiency, improve customer service, and contribute to business and performance objectives
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals.
- Provide high quality day-to-day operations of technology and technology-enabled business functions.
- Create state of the industry dynamic security practices across the IT department and bank.
- Maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the organization’s needs, including information and cybersecurity.
- Implement projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development and installation of major information systems.
- Responsible for all functions of personnel management of employees in his unit and able to motivate a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and also for and to the employees that are direct reports and held accountable for their performance.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in the exam domain areas of data confidentiality, data integrity, data availability (business continuity planning), vendor management and IT management.
- Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance and their providers
- Maintain security standards appropriate for the bank’s size and complexity.
- Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by business needs.
Education Requirement
- Degree in the field of computer science or business administration or 10 years’ experience managing and/or directing an IT operation - familiar with a variety of technology and banking concepts, practices, and procedures
- Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development
- Excellent understanding of project management principles
- Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
- In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT
