BI Developer – Power BI Specialists (Part time) - For Decodemydata.lk Partner company of Your team in Asia

Technical knowledge:

• Experience in Power BI, Power Query M & Dax
• Sound Knowledge SQL & NoSQL Databases and concepts
• Knowledge of SSAS (Tabular and Multi-dimensional) , Automate and Power Apps beneficial
• Experience with Azure could platform beneficial
• Competent in developing engaging and effective data visualizations

Additional requirements:

• Ability to use Taks management tools and SLACK and manage the workback log
• Ability to play a leadership role in the team

Candidate's required/essential experience:

• Ability to take client requirements, understand them and turn them into a powerful story told through engaging visuals in Power BI
• Confident communicating with stakeholders of all levels including the ability to advise, train and support staff and clients where necessary
• Understanding how the full suite of Power BI products work is essential (embedded, Reporting Services)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ingesting data from a variety of corporate data sources and performing required transformations in the Power BI query editor using a mixture of utilizing the UI and writing M code
• Utilizing effectively the navigation features in Power BI (e.g. bookmarks, drill-through) to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story
• Provide technical support and guidance through prototyping, testing, build, and launch of Power BI products
• Data Modelling
• Developing calculations in DAX which are accurate and performant on large datasets
• Designing effective layouts using Data Visualization best practices
• Undertaking data analyses to support decision making
• Develop production-ready Reports, Dashboards and deploy to corporate platform
• Develop user manual / training documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering/Data Science or Higher.
• Previous working experience as a BI Developer for minimum 2-3 years

Monthly commetiment - 50 Hours | LKR 5,000 to 20,000 per day based on skill level
