Merchant Growth Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as a Merchant Growth Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our merchant partnerships. You will be focused on building strong relationships, maximizing merchant satisfaction, and implementing strategies to grow their business on our platform. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in sales or account management, a deep understanding of e-commerce, and a passion for helping merchants succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive merchant acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Identify and prospect potential merchant partners, analyzing their needs and aligning them with our platform's offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to merchants, addressing their questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and product, to develop and execute merchant growth initiatives.
  • Monitor merchant performance metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement or expansion.
  • Deliver regular performance reports to merchants, highlighting key insights and recommending strategies for growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, ensuring we maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand our merchant network and enhance our brand presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in the e-commerce or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce and the challenges and opportunities faced by merchants in the digital space.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets or performance metrics.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex business scenarios.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools to manage merchant relationships and track progress.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with merchants or attend industry events.
