Job Overview:

As a Senior HR Lead, you will play a critical role in driving the human resources strategy and initiatives within the organization. You will provide strategic leadership and guidance to the HR team while collaborating closely with senior management to align HR objectives with business goals. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of HR management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with the organization's overall objectives and culture. Provide strategic guidance to senior management on HR matters, including workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.

Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning and job posting to candidate selection and onboarding. Develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent. Lead efforts to build a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the organization's values.

Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor and mediator in resolving employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws. Foster a positive and respectful work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.

Performance Management: Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development planning. Implement systems and tools to track employee performance, identify development opportunities, and recognize high performers. Provide coaching and support to managers in conducting performance discussions and addressing performance issues.

Training and Development: Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills, competencies, and performance. Identify training needs and opportunities for employee growth and career advancement. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deliver relevant learning experiences.

HR Policy and Compliance: Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Stay informed about changes in employment law and HR best practices and ensure organizational compliance. Conduct periodic audits and assessments to evaluate HR processes and practices.

HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR data and analytics to provide insights into workforce trends, employee engagement, turnover, and other key metrics. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in HR practices and outcomes.

Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership and mentorship to the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Set clear expectations, goals, and performance standards for team members and provide regular feedback and coaching to support their professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR management roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and PNG employment laws.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organizational success.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
