Job Description:
An HR Intern is responsible for independently handling various HR functions within the Human Resources department, with support available from other departments as needed. This role is ideal for individuals currently studying or who have recently completed a degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, and are eager to implement their theoretical knowledge practically in a more autonomous environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Hiring:
- Manage the recruitment process independently, including posting job ads, sorting resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct preliminary interviews and facilitate the final hiring decisions with collaborative input from relevant department heads.
Employee Onboarding:
- Prepare job offers and employment contracts autonomously.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and leading onboarding sessions.
Training and Development:
- Organize training sessions and workshops, managing logistics and content delivery.
- Maintain records of employee participation and feedback on training programs.
HR Documentation:
- Keep HR files and records up-to-date and manage data entry tasks.
- Handle employee requests and inquiries, providing information on HR policies and procedures.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, resolving issues with support from other department leaders as necessary.
- Organize and manage employee engagement programs and events to boost morale and maintain a positive work culture.
Performance Management:
- Gather and analyze performance data, coordinating evaluation processes and outcomes reporting.
- Facilitate discussions on performance improvements and developmental needs.
Compliance and Legal:
- Ensure HR activities comply with legal and organizational standards, with access to external legal advice when necessary.
- Independently maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements.
HR Analytics:
- Utilize HR software and tools to generate reports and insights on workforce metrics.
- Analyze data to support strategic HR decisions and presentations.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, coordinating with external providers and handling employee queries.
HR Projects:
- Lead and manage HR projects such as conducting HR trend research, administering employee satisfaction surveys, and developing new HR initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good foundational knowledge of HR functions and practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of learning new software systems.
- Ethical approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of seeking out support as needed.
