Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and creative Video Editing Intern to support our video team in producing high-quality visual content from concept to final delivery. This role offers hands-on experience across the entire video production process—including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and content distribution. You will collaborate with our creative team to develop engaging videos for social media, websites, marketing campaigns, and other digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Production
- Research & Concept Development: Assist in researching topics, gathering references, and brainstorming video ideas.
- Storyboarding: Support the creation and refinement of storyboards and shot lists to outline video sequences.
- Scriptwriting: Contribute to writing scripts, voiceover lines, and dialogue for various video formats.
Production
- Camera Operations: Set up and operate video equipment, ensuring shots are properly framed, lit, and focused.
- Lighting & Audio: Assist with setting up lighting and sound equipment for optimal video quality.
- On-Set Support: Help direct and manage talent, props, and locations during shoots.
Post-Production
- Editing: Organize and edit raw footage into final cuts using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Visual Enhancements: Add motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, and special effects as needed.
- Color & Audio: Perform basic color correction and audio syncing/mixing to ensure consistent quality.
Content Distribution
- Formatting: Export final videos in various formats optimized for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and websites.
- Uploading: Assist with uploading, publishing, and scheduling video content across channels.
- Performance Monitoring: Track video performance metrics and contribute insights to improve future content.
Collaboration & Communication
- Team Meetings: Actively participate in production meetings, pitch ideas, and provide feedback.
- Client Interaction: Occasionally communicate with clients or stakeholders to align video output with expectations.
Administrative Support
- Equipment Management: Help organize, maintain, and inventory video gear and production tools.
- Project Documentation: Maintain organized records of scripts, shot logs, feedback, and edit notes.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of video equipment, filming techniques, and editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
- Passion for storytelling and visual creativity
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
