Job Description:
As a Data Engineer- MongoDB, you will:
- Design and Build: Create and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into our systems.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with new technologies, including Denodo platform, and contribute to related projects.
- Data Modeling: Develop data models to support applications and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Data Quality: Implement controls and policies to maintain high data quality and integrity.
- Integration: Consolidate data from various sources such as databases, APIs, and files.
- Cloud Development: Utilize cloud services (e.g., Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, Redshift, BigQuery) to build data pipelines.
- Certifications: Pursue relevant certifications to enhance expertise in database technologies and cloud platforms.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, project managers, and stakeholders.
- Documentation: Document your work to ensure clarity and maintainability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: 3+ years in software engineering, with strong skills in SQL and relational databases (like SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Pipeline Expertise: Design and implement data pipelines (ETL) to handle large volumes of data efficiently, and familiarity with data warehouses and data lakes.
- Reporting Skills: Proficient in at least one reporting tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View, Looker, and Thought Spot) for visualizing insights.
- Programming Knowledge: Able to script in languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
- Cloud Experience: Worked with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms. Experience on Data bricks, Snowflake will be a huge plus.
- MongoDB Proficiency: Experience with MongoDB development and administration tasks.
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Athena, and Redshift) and version control systems like GIT.
