- General Job Description: Managing the production planning activities for a potato farm in Baghdad area to ensure optimal productivity, sustainability and profitability. The position requires the application of modern agricultural techniques and efficient use of resources in order to improve the quality and increase the volume of production.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementation of seed selection, planting,irrigation and harvesting schedules.
- Managing day to day farm operations including but not limited to soil preparation, planting, crop management and pest control.
- Managing farm infrastructure such as irrigation systems, machinery, and storage facilities.
- Implement sustainable farming practices to reduce the impact and improve soil health.
- Prepare and manage budgets for farm operations.
- Ensuring that operating expenses are in line with the budgets.
- Hiring, training, and managing farm workers to ensure that they follow best practices and are efficient.
- Constantly strive to remain abreast of technological developments, innovations, and solutions.
- Ensure that all farm activities comply with local laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit regular production and costing reports to the owners of the farm.
