Job Summary: Mangrove Executive Lounge and Bar seeks enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Assistants to join our culinary team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff in various food preparation tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic restaurant environment and develop valuable skills in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients.
2. Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency and quality of food products.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including storage areas, countertops, and equipment.
4. Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food supplies and ingredients.
5. Operate kitchen equipment under the supervision of kitchen staff, ensuring safety and proper use.
6. Support dishwashing and sanitation efforts by helping to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
7. Dispose of waste and empty trash bins by established procedures.
8. Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
9. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
10. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
2. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
3. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
4. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
5. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
6. Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
