Job Summary:
Mangrove Executive Lounge and Bar is seeking a charismatic and professional FEMALE Hostess to join our hospitality team. As a Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your friendly demeanour, organization skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to creating a positive and memorable dining experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Seat guests in a timely and efficient manner, taking into account table preferences and balancing server workload.
- Manage restaurant reservations and coordinate seating arrangements to maximize dining room capacity.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, including managing the waiting list during peak hours.
- Answer phone calls and inquiries regarding reservations, menu options, and restaurant policies.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operation of the dining area.
- Assist with setting and clearing tables, as needed, to facilitate efficient table turnover.
- Monitor dining room activity and address any issues or concerns raised by guests.
- Provide guests with menus and assist with menu explanations or recommendations as required.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant policies, promotions, and special events to effectively communicate information to guests.
- Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and customer service to ensure a positive and memorable dining experience for all guests.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and effectively manage guest inquiries and requests.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Professional appearance and demeanour, with the ability to represent the restaurant in a positive light.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for managing reservations and seating charts (training can be provided if necessary).
