Job Summary:
The Games Support Specialist is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the games and entertainment offerings at the lounge, including chess, snooker, PS5, and other games. This role ensures that all gaming equipment is in excellent condition, assists guests with game setup and play, and enhances the overall guest experience through exceptional service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Game Setup and Maintenance: Prepare and set up gaming areas, including chess tables, snooker tables, PS5 consoles, and other games. Regularly inspect and maintain all gaming equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any equipment issues or needs for repair to the Lounge Manager promptly.
- Guest Assistance: Greet and engage guests interested in games, providing information and guidance on available games. Assist guests with game setup, rules, and any technical issues they may encounter. Offer recommendations on game options based on guest preferences and skill levels.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring guests have an enjoyable and seamless gaming experience. Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Create a welcoming and friendly environment for all guests.
- Event Coordination: Organize and facilitate gaming tournaments and events, such as chess matches or PS5 competitions. Coordinate with the marketing team to promote gaming events and activities. Manage the registration and scheduling of participants for gaming events.
- Operational Support: Monitor the gaming areas to ensure they are clean, organized, and safe. Enforce lounge policies and rules related to gaming activities. Assist with other lounge operations as needed, including food and drink service during busy times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the lounge staff and management to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive guest experience. Participate in team meetings and training sessions. Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the gaming offerings and guest experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hospitality, entertainment, or gaming environment.
- Strong knowledge and skills in chess, snooker, PS5, board games and other popular games.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with gaming equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
