We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to oversee the financial strategy, compliance, and reporting across our business, portfolio companies, and the personal investments of our founder. This role requires a strategic thinker who can optimize financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide financial insights to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Management

• Develop and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the firm and its portfolio companies.
• Provide financial insights to support investment decisions and business strategy.
• Optimize financial structures to maximize efficiency and tax advantages.
• Assess and manage financial risks, including investment risks, liquidity, and currency fluctuations.
• Evaluate potential M&A opportunities and capital structuring options.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure full compliance with Sri Lankan financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (LKAS, SLFRS).
• Liaise with regulatory bodies such as the Inland Revenue Department, Foreign Exchange Department, and Company Registrar.
• Oversee corporate tax planning, structuring, and filing for the firm and portfolio companies.
• Manage tax clearance processes for outward remittances and ensure all regulatory filings are up to date.
• Implement internal controls and governance policies to maintain financial integrity and prevent fraud.

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Oversee and improve financial reporting systems, ensuring timely preparation of P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Lead banking and treasury operations, ensuring optimal fund management and liquidity planning.
• Supervise payroll processes, EPF/ETF filings, and other statutory obligations.
• Lead financial audits, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Enhance financial technology adoption, ensuring efficient use of tools such as QuickBooks, ERP systems, and automation solutions.

Leadership & Advisory

• Act as a trusted financial advisor to the founder and leadership team, providing guidance on both corporate and personal investment strategies.
• Mentor and develop a finance team, ensuring best practices in financial management.
• Collaborate with portfolio companies to optimize financial structures, cash flow, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in investment firms, private equity, or startups.
• Strong background in financial strategy, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Expert knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations, accounting standards (LKAS, SLFRS), and investment structures.
• Hands-on experience with financial software (QuickBooks, ERP, Google Sheets/Docs).
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to navigate complex financial environments.
• Excellent understanding of corporate finance, investment modeling, and capital structuring.
• BSc/MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a professional qualification (CA, CIMA, CFA) is highly preferred.

Compensation

💰 Salary range: LKR 200,000 – 400,000 per month, based on experience.
