Responsibilities:

• Grow, mentor, and lead the Data Engineering team, ensuring team members are clear about expected standards of performance, motivated, and developed to provide effective and efficient services.
• Build a Data Engineering strategy and function to deliver accelerated growth and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement the data engineering strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.
• Build and execute the strategic and roadmap planning for data engineering, improving business capability and technical capacity in data management.
• Uplift and maintain data standards and engineering methodologies, including data architecture, data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Oversee the design and implementation of robust data architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all data platforms.
• Design and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources effectively.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Lead the team to iteratively improve data capability and architecture to support evolving business needs.
• Optimize data workflows and processing for performance and efficiency.
• Foster a culture of data literacy and continuous improvement within the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven experience in growing, mentoring, and leading data engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing solutions and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other programming languages used in data engineering.
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration from multiple sources.
• Expertise in data standards and engineering methodologies, including data architecture, pipelines, and data governance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with data governance and compliance regulations.
• Proven ability to develop and implement data engineering strategies and roadmaps to drive business growth.
