Key Responsibilities and Duties (Activities / Tasks)
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to standards.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts, inform the team leader if the vehicle is awaiting parts, and pursue special orders if necessary.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repairs, if authorized by the customer.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Notify service consultants immediately if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause, and correction format.
- Road test vehicles to check the work performed.
- Ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
- Stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
- Keep the shop area neat and clean, and account for all tools at all times.
- Understand and follow regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the organization’s vision, mission, and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Follow safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals.

- Complete jobs within the designated time frames set by management.
- Meet and adhere to the company attendance policy and procedures.
- Follow management directions at all times.
- Achieve a minimum productivity of 95%.
- Achieve a minimum efficiency of 120%.
- Ensure no "rework" repairs due to below-standard work.
- Report any breaches and concerns to the Service Manager first for action.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Form 6 pass or Trade Certificate in Automotive Mechanical
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an auto-mechanical role
Specific Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Presentable appearance with good customer service skills and knowledge.
- Manual dexterity, good judgment, and the ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely.
- Must have a driving license with the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
