Assistant Sales Manager (Logistics and Supply Chain)
LkcareersKey Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitors. Gather data on customer needs, preferences, and industry developments to inform marketing and business development strategies. • Generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital marketing. Identify and target potential clients who can benefit from our 3PL services. • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients. Present the value proposition of our services to prospective clients and conduct negotiations to secure contracts. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their business requirements, and provide personalized solutions. Ensure client satisfaction, address concerns, and foster long-term partnerships. • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote our 3PL services. Utilize various marketing channels, including digital marketing, social media, content creation, and email marketing, to raise brand awareness and generate leads. • Create compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of potential clients. Highlight the unique features and benefits of our services and demonstrate how they can add value to the client’s supply chain operations. • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless implementation of new client contracts. Provide guidance and support in aligning service offerings with client requirements. • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and industry professionals. Build relationships with key stakeholders and stay updated on industry trends and developments. • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing and business development strategies. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Key requirements: • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, logistics, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage. • Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, including freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, and inventory management. Familiarity with the complexities and challenges of the logistics industry is crucial. • Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing, business development, or sales roles, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry. Experience specifically in the 3PL sector is highly desirable. • Proven experience in lead generation, client acquisition, and successful business development. • Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building abilities. • Up-to-date knowledge of the logistics and 3PL industry, including trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas, negotiate contracts, and deliver persuasive presentations. • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including solutions, operations, and finance to ensure seamless execution of client contracts. • Leadership skills to guide and motivate team members and drive results.
