Senior Tour Operator

Our growing travel agency is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Tour Operator to oversee all aspects of our travel operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing travel packages, managing relationships with guides, drivers, and hotels, and ensuring high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create comprehensive travel packages and itineraries that meet the needs of our diverse client base

• Cold calling the hotels and resorts and negotiate with them to partner up better packages

• Liaise with tour guides, drivers, and partners to coordinate logistics and optimize the customer experience.

• Handle all operational aspects of the travel business, including booking, scheduling, and customer support.

• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations to continuously improve our service offerings

• Foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, Hotel Partners and other industry stakeholders

• Supervise a team of travel coordinators and ensure efficient workflow

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a travel agency or related operations role

2. Age 45 or under to bring a fresh perspective to the business

3. Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal

4. Deep knowledge of the local tourism industry, including relationships with guides, drivers, and hotels

5. Proficiency in additional languages, while not mandatory, is a plus

6. Passionate about the country and committed to improving the quality of the tourism experience

7. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines

8. Positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and a team-player mentality

This is a full-time position based in our office, which will be located in the Boralasgamuwa / Piliyandala / Pannipitiya area.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.( But should be flexible when required )
