Job Summary
The C-Panel Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the web hosting environment using C-Panel. This role requires a strong understanding of server management, website administration, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of web hosting services and provide technical support to users. The candidate must be able to work according to the Australian calendar and time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Server Management: Install, configure, and manage web servers using C-Panel.
- Website Administration: Oversee the creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts, domains, email accounts, and databases.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, SSL certificates, and backup systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to web hosting and C-Panel.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor server performance and generate reports on uptime, usage, and resource allocation.
- User Support: Provide technical support and guidance to users regarding web hosting services.
- Updates and Maintenance: Regularly update C-Panel software and apply patches to ensure system security and efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in web hosting and server management using C-Panel.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in C-Panel and WHM (Web Host Manager).
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of DNS, FTP, and email configurations.
- Familiarity with web technologies such as PHP, MySQL, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with SSL certificate installation and management.
