Job Role

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our newly established care home in Malabe. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for elderly residents by providing attentive care and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Companionship: Offer emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities to improve their mental well-being.
• Hygiene and infection control: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility, including transfers, walking, and exercise routines.
• Monitor Health: Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any medical emergencies, ensuring the client’s safety and well-being.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A certificate or diploma in caregiving, nursing, nurse assistance, or a related field.
• NVQ Level 3 or higher or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in elderly care, home care, or a healthcare facility.
• Training in basic first aid and emergency response is an advantage.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks like assisting with mobility and lifting.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic towards elderly individuals.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Work Schedule & Availability:

• Full-time live-in role, following a 2-weeks-on, 4-days-off rotation to ensure continuous care.
