Job Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Caregivers to join our team. As a Caregiver at Blanket Care, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalised, attentive care in the comfort of their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and ensure proper documentation.
• Companionship: Offer emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities to improve their mental well-being.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals according to the dietary needs of the client.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility, including transfers, walking, and exercise routines.
• Monitor Health: Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse or family members.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any medical or personal emergencies, ensuring the client’s safety and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
• Education:
  • NVQ Level 3
  • A certificate or diploma in caregiving, nursing, or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support certification is an advantage.
• Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for caregiving.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and assisting clients with mobility.
• Language: Proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil is preferred; knowledge of English is an asset.

Salary: 50,000 LKR - 60,000 LKR
