Job Description: The Senior Teaching Manager** **is responsible for overseeing the academic functions of the center, maintaining and improving academic quality, recruiting, supporting and developing teachers, and coordinating related administrative tasks.
Supervision:
- Reports to the Center Director and Academic Operations Manager
- Teacher recruitment and teacher evaluation
- Supporting and assisting teachers with duties such as lesson planning and marking
- Induction and training of teachers
- Finalizing the teaching schedule
- Teaching classes as assigned
- Arranging substitution for absent teachers
- Dealing with complaints concerning the academic operations of the center
- Ensuring that teachers prepare a lesson plan and necessary materials in advance for every lesson
- Ensuring that teachers complete the class attendance register accurately and promptly for every lesson
- Ensuring that teachers keep timely and accurate lesson and homework records
- Ensuring that teachers keep up-to-date records of assessment scores
- Ensuring that teachers complete student reports and certificates
- Conducting meetings with parents and students as required
- Conducting placement tests when required
- Planning, running and participating in the center's professional development program
- Any other related administrative tasks that may arise
- Handling disciplinary procedures for teachers
- Assisting with marketing activities
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- TEFL/TESOL/CELTA qualification
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- The ideal candidate will be someone who works well in a team, has a positive attitude, likes meeting people is passionate about teaching and making friends.
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Minimum 2-5 years’ of experience in management, ideally in the service industry
- Strong people skills and team leadership/management abilities
- Experience of working in cross culture environment is a plus
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret data
