“Kerner Norland is looking for a Social Media API Developer to work with a leading digital innovation client based in the UK. Our client partners with major platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok to create smooth API integrations that improve user experiences and drive engagement.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain API integrations with platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok.
• Work closely with product managers and engineers to understand needs and turn them into technical solutions.
• Build scalable and high-performance backend services using a variety of programming languages (Go preferred).
• Create and maintain user-friendly front-end applications with Vue.
• Ensure the security and reliability of API connections.
• Monitor and improve system performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues quickly and efficiently.
• Keep your code clean, well-documented, and easy to maintain.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest in API development and social media platforms.
• Participate in code reviews and give/receive constructive feedback.

What You Need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in API development, especially with social media platforms.
• Strong skills in API development—experience with Go is preferred.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and familiarity with the APIs of Meta, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok.
• Experience with Git for version control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Background in working with startups or fast-growing tech companies.
