Our prestigious client, a Swedish Technology Solutions Company specializing in Vehicle Systems Applications, is looking for highly skilled and motivated "Senior Quality Assurance Engineers" to join their team in Colombo immediately.

# SALARY: LKR 300K to 350K (Take Home)

# RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test Planning: Design, estimate, and evaluate testing requirements for projects.
• Test Case Development: Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data and data validation.
• Test Data Preparation: Ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective testing scenarios by preparing detailed test data sets.
• Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify issues, bugs, and areas for improvement (smoke testing, sanity testing, functional/non-functional testing, and regression testing).
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and report bugs using JIRA, and work collaboratively with the development team to resolve them.
• Automation Testing: Utilize automation skills where applicable to create and execute automated test cases, improving testing efficiency and coverage.
• QA Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers to understand product requirements, provide feedback on potential quality issues, and offer inputs to improve the quality of the product and process.
• Reporting: Document test results and create reports, communicating effectively to stakeholders on the quality status of the software.
• Decision-Making: Take decisions on QA releases and address blockers to the testing process.

# TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Operating Systems: MS Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android.
• Bug Tracking Tools: Bugzilla, JIRA, Mantis.
• Databases and Tools: MS SQL Server Management Studio, MySQL, MySQL Workbench.
• Methodologies: Agile (SCRUM), Waterfall.
• Additional Tools: Eclipse, xcode, IntelliJ IDEA, Postman, Swagger, Jenkins, Git.
• Test Automation: Ranorex, Selenium (WebDriver with JAVA), Appium, Cypress, RestAssured, Jmeter.
• API Testing: Postman, Jmeter.

# QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Education: BSc. in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience: 4+ years of QA experience with strong skills in functional and UI testing capabilities.
• Agile Knowledge: Solid practical understanding of Agile Software Quality Assurance and Software Engineering concepts.
• Database Verification: Ability to conduct database-level verifications using SQL.
• API Testing Experience: Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Automation Exposure: Experience with test automation tools and performance testing is an added advantage.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on the application and its environment.
• Creativity: Creative and innovative thinking with a strong attention to detail.
• Communication: Good oral and written communication skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work within deadlines individually and as part of a team.
