What will be you doing?

You will be working on designing mechanical elements using SolidWorks and other CAD software

• Validation and testing of those components using simulations
• You will be assisting other engineering teams in production integration
• Ensuring proper documentation is done on the design process
• Carrying out various engineering calculations to assist on ensuring the operation of the mechanisms and components
• Working with 3rd party manufacturing firms

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of mechanical engineering expertise, with an emphasis on creating machines that use linkages, springs, steering systems, and electro-mechanical components.
• Strong familiarity with both 2D and 3D CAD programs, ideally SolidWorks, and a focus on dynamics, finite element analysis (FEM) for mechanical stress assessment, and 3D surfacing.
• Knowledge of designing with ferrous materials, such as aluminum and stainless steel.
• Adept at producing and managing bills of materials (BOMs), 2D drawings, and 3D models.
• Able to locate third-party manufacturers and work with them to build planned components.
• Proficiency in conducting tolerance analysis and defining manufacturing and product geometry tolerances.
• Competent in carrying out engineering computations, including force analysis in links, torque needs, beam kinematics, and basic stress calculations.
