Senior Systems Engineer (Azure and Microsoft 365 Security)

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive for efficient, high quality project delivery, technical support services to ensure timely project completions, response to queries, resolution of problems, and reporting/ escalation of unresolved issues and project deployments.
- Assessing the current state of Microsoft 365 security posture and identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Developing and executing security strategies, policies, and architectures for Microsoft 365 cloud environments.
- Leveraging Microsoft 365 security tools and features, such as Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft Compliance Manager, to monitor, manage, and mitigate risks and threats.
- Performing security audits, assessments, and remediation activities for Microsoft 365 cloud services and applications.
- You own, investigate and solve complex customer technical problems and act as an advisor to the customers, collaborating within and across teams and leveraging troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Providing guidance and support to clients on Microsoft 365 security best practices, standards, and policies.
- Staying up to date with the latest trends, developments, and updates in Microsoft 365 security domain.
Key Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in cloud computing, preferably with Microsoft Azure plus Microsoft 365/Security platform.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft on-premises services such as but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange Server, System Center Stack.
- Proficient in Azure core services, such as compute, storage, networking, identity, security, database, and web.
- Experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, automation, scripting, and PowerShell.
- Experience in Azure governance, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
- Experience in cloud native architectures, microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in cloud migration, integration, and hybrid scenarios.
- Experience in cloud best practices, standards, and policies.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 security concepts, principles, and technologies.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
- Azure certifications, such as AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-304, or AZ-500, are preferred.
- Microsoft 365 certifications, such as MS-102, SC-100, SC-200, or SC-300, are preferred.
