As a TechOps Lead at KAST, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure, while leading efforts to troubleshoot production issues and implement both tactical and strategic solutions.
Job Description
We’re looking for a TechOps Lead to oversee KAST's technical operations and ensure that our platform runs smoothly at all times. You will lead the effort to troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analyses, and define both short-term and long-term solutions to prevent future occurrences. You’ll collaborate across teams to ensure efficient incident resolution while continuously improving system performance, scalability, and security through automation and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day technical operations of KAST’s platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot production issues in real-time, ensuring fast resolution while minimizing impact on end-users.
- Perform root cause analyses of incidents, defining tactical and strategic solutions to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer support teams to identify requirements for solutions that address underlying issues.
- Implement and maintain scalable infrastructure using cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system health, identify bottlenecks, and preempt potential issues.
- Lead incident management and response efforts, ensuring timely and effective communication to stakeholders.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual interventions in deployment, monitoring, and system maintenance.
- Ensure robust security and compliance across the platform.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system uptime, incident response time, and resolution effectiveness.
- Mentor and manage a growing team of TechOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and problem-solving culture.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant experience in TechOps, DevOps, or technical support roles, preferably in fintech or web3 environments.
- Proven experience leading technical operations and troubleshooting production issues in mission-critical environments.
- Strong experience in incident management and performing root cause analysis for production issues.
- Proficient with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) to ensure system reliability.
- Strong understanding of networking, system security, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to support automation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Experience with fintech or web3 platforms is a big plus.
