The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a profound understanding of hardware and software development processes to lead cross-functional teams and drive the successful delivery of cutting-edge products. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between hardware and software engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, plan, and execute complex programs spanning hardware and software development lifecycles.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate across engineering, product management, and operations to align priorities.
  • Act as a primary point of contact between hardware and software teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements and dependencies.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and problem-solving sessions to address program challenges.
  • Provide guidance on hardware and software integration points, ensuring seamless collaboration between the two domains.
  • Understand the intricacies of hardware design and software architecture to anticipate challenges and propose solutions.
  • Identify potential risks across the program lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address dependencies, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
  • Deliver regular program updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency on timelines, risks, and accomplishments.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and align program goals with organizational priorities.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of program management experience, preferably in hardware/software integrated product development.
  • Prior experience playing a SCRUM Master role is desired.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware design processes and software development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles and software lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as firmware development, embedded systems, or IoT is a plus.
  • Familiar with JIRA, Planisware and Confluence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certifications.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and collaboration platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams.
