We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the payday advance and loan module on our HRIS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of loan and advance requests, facilitating cash transfers, and ensuring timely settlement of debts. This role requires strong financial acumen, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with HR and finance teams to streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process payday advance and loan requests.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all transactions in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Facilitate timely disbursement of approved loans and advances.
- Ensure sufficient funds are available and allocated appropriately.
- Track repayment schedules and ensure debts are settled as per agreed terms.
- Follow up on overdue payments and implement recovery measures when necessary.
- Generate periodic reports on loan and advance activity for management review.
- Reconcile loan and advance accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial records.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the loan and advance module processes.
- Work closely with the HR and IT teams to implement enhancements in the HRIS.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Part qualification in CA, CIMA, or ACCA
- Proven experience as an accountant, preferably with experience in payroll or loan management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Additional Requirements:
- Familiarity with payday loan regulations and financial compliance standards is a plus.
- Certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred but not mandatory.
