The Department and Position

We have a Global IT department (GIT) that brings together all the IT departments in charge of developing and running our IT system and technological infrastructure.

Global IT has a worldwide presence in Europe and Africa, Asia-Pacific and Middle East, America with more than 3500 associates.

Information Systems Asia Pacific (ISAP), based in Singapore, is the bank’s premier IT hub. With over one thousand employees, ISAP is the key driver of our worldwide IT strategy. Many of the Bank’s most critical and important software and infrastructure solutions are developed and managed here.

The position is within the Capital Markets IT (CMI) division which manages information systems for capital markets activities which includes Front Office (FO) booking platforms, Risk Management (RM) control and regulatory reporting systems, financial product and contract valuation systems, and much more.

Mission Context: GoToCloud – Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE)

Capital Markets IT has launched in 2022 the global transformation program “GoToCloud” to realize its Cloud strategy, targeting 80% of applications in private or public Cloud by 2026.

The GoToCloud program is managed by the transversal Architecture & Innovation team within Capital Markets IT department.

To support these ambitions, a new Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) has been created within the program governance. This team coalesces all applicable technical and business product expertise into one team to bring the new Cloud-native workloads or migrated workloads to the Cloud. The team will be distributed team in Paris and Singapore.

In the process, it establishes the technical objectives, reusable architecture, patterns, and associated code for the organization’s use of Cloud across the paradigms of security, reliability, scalability, cost, and time to value differentiation.

As a cloud architect/engineer you will be part of CCoE team in Singapore, fully integrated with the global CCoE from head office.

CCoE will deliver support to IT teams in their transformation journey under different types of deliverables:

  • Architecture patterns and guidelines

  • Creation of standards repository with documentation

  • Code samples and/or white applications shared on the central source control system (GitLab)

  • Solution design and engineering for specific workloads to help development teams

  • Gathering of recurring use cases, issues and requirements from the field, and definition of global solutions, in collaboration with other partner departments, such as Infrastructure teams (CA-GIP)
  • Contribution to training of development teams in Cloud technologies, in collaboration with the change management stream
  • Contribution to other Cloud expertise/strategies communities within Crédit Agricole Group
  • Welcome kit to onboard new joiners

Your core attributes will include:

  • Clear communication & systematic reasoning.
  • Mastery of modern design patterns for Events, Data, and APIs with a good understanding of trade-offs required depending on the use cases and current state challenges (legacy monoliths, legacy data models, legacy vendor platforms). It is expected that the individuals are already recognized technical leaders or have access to deep technical expertise throughout the engagement.
  • Have a clear vision on digital trends in Finance and the imperative for financial firms to build digital platforms.
  • Have a deep understanding of Capital Market IT ecosystems and how they can potentially be transformed into digital platforms using cloud technology, modern design patterns, and data products.
  • Be able to work closely with senior IT and Business leaders and be able to provide credible responses to digital, business and data strategies.
  • Have a prior experience in a Cloud transformation program, similar to the CMI program.
  • Has an Architecture certification from at least from one Cloud provider (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform)

Main Responsibilities

  • Accountable for cloud solution architecture design and support during the full life cycle of the solution.
  • Develop and select migration startegies and approaches to move exiting applications and workloads to the cloud
  • Continues Improvement of solutions, architecture standards and guidelines and support creation of documention to ensure application design compliance and efficient operations of the cloud architecture program
  • Develop proof of concepts to prove new techniques
  • Ensure quality, security and legal guidelines of the robust and high sustainable code.
  • Helps IT teams to design the right solution based on Cloud services
  • Lead compliance assessment with the team on designed cloud architecture
  • Collaborate closely with Platform and DevOps and Engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of the project deliverables

Qualifications and Profile

The successful candidate will definitely have:

  • An ideal candidate should possess atleast 3+ years of experience aa a cloud engineer (Preferably AWS), with around 5 to 9 years of software development experience.
  • Strong knowledge on AWS services, includingEc2, Lambda, Redshift, IAM, Cloudwatch and others
  • Experience in Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Java, Python etc
  • Experience with REST APIs and Microservices
  • Strong knowledge on OOA, OOD principles and multi-threading
  • Experience with common Cloud design patterns, messaging patterns and distributed systems
  • Experience CI/Cd tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Must have at least one AWS cloud certifications(AWS Certified Developer/ Devops or solution architect)
