We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country General Manager to lead and grow our operations within Indonesia. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and business development to drive success in the crane services and mechanical handling industries across key sectors, including Ports, Oil and Gas, and Marine. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing technical, operational, and commercial teams, with the ability to align local strategies with global objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management:

Lead, guide, and mentor multi-office teams to achieve cohesive and effective execution of business strategies. Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals and foster a high-performance culture.

  • Business Development & Strategy:

Develop and execute sales and growth strategies to expand the company’s footprint. Monitor market trends, cultivate strong relationships with new and existing customers, and secure long-term business opportunities.

  • Operational Excellence:

Enhance systems and processes to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement in areas like sales, project engineering, management, and reporting. Ensure adherence to internal systems for data-driven decision-making.

  • Recruitment & Talent Management:

Attract, recruit, and retain top talent to build a dynamic and competent team. Foster collaboration and professional development to drive individual and team success.

  • Supply Chain Optimization:

Work closely with local and global supply chain teams to develop efficient procurement strategies, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.

  • Project Management:

Oversee project activities to ensure timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards. Support teams in managing multiple projects effectively under pressure.

  • Health, Safety, and Compliance:

Uphold high standards of health and safety, ensuring the well-being of personnel and compliance with local and global regulations. Promote risk management and accident prevention initiatives.

  • Financial & Commercial Oversight:

Manage company finances, including cash flow, budgeting, and cost controls, to maximize profitability. Analyze company accounts and develop strategies to enhance financial performance.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

Communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all organizational levels. Act as the primary liaison between local operations and global management to ensure alignment on objectives and priorities.


Job Requirements:

  • Strong leadership experience in technical, operational, or commercial roles within the crane or mechanical handling industries.

  • Expertise in Ports, Oil and Gas, or Marine sectors.

  • Proven track record of driving sales and implementing growth strategies.

  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-office teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and local languages.

  • Strong understanding of local business regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail and under tight deadlines.
