We are seeking a dedicated Pre-Sales Application Consultant to support our sales team with expertise in Electric Automation (EA) solutions. This role is essential in identifying and driving business opportunities, proposing commercially viable automation solutions, and supporting customers in selecting EA products that meet their unique applications. The ideal candidate will manage the process from initial solution concept through to installation, ensuring a smooth transition from design to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Consultation: Provide expert technical guidance throughout the sales process, tailoring EA and other related product solutions to meet local market needs.
Solution Design: Collaborate with customers to define requirements, developing electrical and mechanical design concepts that focus on standard EA products.
Application Solutions: Offer customized, feasible solution proposals grounded in deep technical product knowledge.
Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility assessments using sample setups, simulations, and calculations to validate proposed solutions.
After-Sales Support: Deliver remote and on-site technical advisory services during the commissioning phase to ensure optimal solution performance.
Sales Support: Partner with the Sales Engineer to define pricing and terms based on the added value of solutions.
Ad-hoc Projects: Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales, application engineering, or technical consulting role, preferably within Electric Automation or a closely related industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in electrical and mechanical design principles for automation systems.
Familiarity with Electric Automation technologies, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
Strong ability to perform feasibility analyses, including simulations and sample setup evaluations.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze technical requirements, assess feasibility, and identify effective solutions tailored to client needs.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Sales Acumen: Proven ability to balance technical expertise with commercial considerations to support the sales process effectively.
Project Management Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed for client consultations and on-site support.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, with additional language skills considered an asset.
Certification (Preferred): Certifications in Electric Automation, such as Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, or similar, would be advantageous.
