One of our prestigious clients who is a French Multinational Corporation is looking for experienced "Project Planning Engineers" to join their Jaffna team immediately.
SALARY: Rs. 350,000 - 400,000
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop detailed project plans using software tools like MS Project and Primavera P6.
- Lead the creation and implementation of the integrated EPC schedule for the project.
- Provide a resource loaded and leveled project schedule which clearly identifies critical path and float areas.
- Prepare and present reports that accurately depict project progress, risks, and forecasts.
- Analyze resources, identify potential bottlenecks, and provide solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain an active role in cost control and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate and prioritize the work of team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Foster open communication among team members and stakeholders, facilitating cross-disciplinary cooperation.
- Regularly report project status to senior management and stakeholders.
- Work with subcontractors to integrate schedules into the master schedule.
- Review and incorporate risk analysis into project planning.
- Develop Monthly Progress Reports.
- Review project schedule and drive communication to project leadership when risk areas are identified with appropriate mitigation plans to assure on time delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in planning and scheduling, preferably within an international context.
- Proficiency in planning software, particularly MS Project and Primavera.
- Certifications in the use of specific planning and scheduling software (like MS Project or Primavera)
- Experience in the water treatment sector would be beneficial.
- Strong background in project management and resource allocation.
- EPC environment experience.
- PMI Certification would be an asset
- Excellent understanding of Project Planning and scheduling.
- Excellent understanding of Earned Value Management and Key Commodity Tracking.
- Very good understanding of EPC projects.
- Very good ability to understand project scope, project schedule objectives, and developing/maintaining various schedule requirements.
- Very good understanding of project estimate and have the ability to implement the elements of estimate into the project schedule.
- Very good understanding of the basic principles of Project Management.
- Good general understanding of Cost Management, Planning, and Change Control.
- Experience in the Renewables Construction Projects.
- High degree of Computer Literacy, particularly in MS Office applications.

- Proficient in project planning and scheduling tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and procedures.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Capable of analyzing resources, controlling costs, and tracking KPIs (SPI, CPI, Resource analysis, EV, AC, PV)
- Strong ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire team members.

- Excellent proficiency in English and local languages.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
